ABOUT THE CREATOR
Mina Lawendy
Creator and curator of Nile Atlas MacroLab
Finance research with a regional focus
Mina is an MSc Finance student at Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester. His professional background includes equity research, investment banking, research assistance and teaching. His interests include empirical finance, macroeconomic analysis and MENA markets.
He created Nile Atlas MacroLab to make economic headlines, source data and research questions easier to explore together. Egypt is at the centre of the workspace, alongside Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Oman. The project’s first publication was 29 October 2026.
This is an independent project. University and employer references are biographical and do not imply sponsorship or endorsement of the website. No separate editorial board or external reviewer is claimed.
How the briefing is prepared
Scheduled AI-assisted preparation produces original concise English summaries grounded in readable public evidence. Mina Lawendy is the creator and curator; this process does not establish that he personally reviews every edition before publication. Source publication dates, reporting periods and uncertainty remain visible. Private research leads are not republished as newsletter text, private links or proprietary analysis. An editorial check is separate from a newly published economic event.
The editorial process and corrections policy explains how summaries are prepared and corrected. The daily briefing archive presents the published editions. The sources and methods page explains the distinction between historical observations, provider estimates/projections, statistical model outputs and hypothetical scenarios.
