The latest available annual WDI observation in this response is 4.39% for 2025, compared with 2.40% for 2024. The difference is 1.99 percentage points. This identifies the most recent reported year, rather than substituting today’s date for a missing annual release.
Real GDP growth measures the annual percentage change in constant-price output. It is a growth rate, not GDP in US dollars, economic size, GDP per person, or an investment return.
Egypt’s GDP national accounts may use fiscal-year reporting; the selected Gulf economies generally use calendar years. Matching WDI year labels does not align the exact economic periods.
The chart and table use historical WDI values only. IMF WEO estimates/projections, the separate Bayesian model and editable policy/FX scenarios remain in the research workspace; they are not appended to this historical line. A change in inflation is not by itself evidence of the cause of a policy decision; GDP growth does not identify the contribution of any individual sector.

Download and cite this data
Download historical annual observations with source codes, units, observation years and the response’s own retrieval and provider dates. CSV and JSON retain source precision; the page rounds displayed values for reading. No missing value is interpolated and no forecast is added to historical observations.
A later source refresh can change a download’s vintage. Keep its retrieval date when reproducing an analysis. Third-party data retain their original terms.
Questions about Egypt gdp growth
Why can the latest annual value be from an earlier year?
Annual series depend on national reporting, the source provider’s release schedule and later revisions. A retrieval in the current year does not convert an older observation into a current-year result. The latest year label and the retrieval date above describe different things.
Can I compare this GDP year directly with another country?
Egypt’s GDP national accounts may use fiscal-year reporting; the selected Gulf economies generally use calendar years. Matching WDI year labels does not align the exact economic periods. A common WDI year label is useful for organizing a comparison, but it does not remove reporting-basis differences.
Does this historical line include a forecast?
No. These charts and downloads use historical WDI observations that pass the stated filters. IMF estimates/projections, Bayesian model outputs and editable scenarios have separate sections and labels.
